The founding therapists of Park Avenue Relationship Consultants (PARC) are expertly trained clinicians, each with over 30 years of experience. Each is duly licensed by the State of New York to practice individual psychotherapy, couple therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Each has received advanced training and certification from respected psychotherapy or psychoanalytic training institutes. Our founding therapists have each spent much of their professional lives in private practice, while also teaching and training beginning therapists in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. In addition, each of our 12 highly experienced affiliate therapists has received advanced training and certification and is duly licensed by the State of New York.
Barbara G. Feld, LCSW, is a graduate of the Object Relations Theory and Therapy Program at the Washington School of Psychiatry and the Bronx State Family Studies Program. A Board Certified Diplomate, Barbara maintains a full-time private practice in Manhattan where she has been helping individuals, couples, groups, and families better their relationships for over 30 years. In addition, she is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Head of Residency Training in Couple and Family Therapy at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. An active member of the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society, she served on its Board and as Secretary, and has also been on the editorial board of the society's journal GROUP for many years. She is a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, the American Family Therapy Association, and the International Association for Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Barbara is known for her writing about couple therapy, couples group therapy, and for the workshops and presentations she has given on these topics across the US.
Dianne Heller Kaminsky, LCSW, is a graduate of the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. A Board Certified Diplomate, she has been helping individuals, couples, and families resolve interpersonal and intrapsychic issues for more than 30 years. In addition to maintaining a full-time private practice in New York City, Dianne is on the faculty, a training analyst, and a senior supervisor at The Institute of the Postgraduate Psychoanalytic Society, and is on the faculty and a supervisor at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health Group Therapy Training Program. She is former co-director of training for the Center for The Study of Anorexia and Bulimia at the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy. Dianne is corresponding secretary of the Postgraduate Psychoanalytic Society, a member of the International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies, and is a former Education Chairperson of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work. Dianne has written and presented papers on anorexia, bulimia, and compulsive eating.
Jerome Leff, LCSW, is a graduate of the Adult Psychoanalytic Program, Group Therapy Training Program, and Treatment of Families and Couples Training Program at the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. A Board Certified Diplomate, he maintains a full-time private practice in Manhattan and Southampton, Long Island. For 30 years, he served as the Associate Director of the Postgraduate Center's Group Analytic Training Program, the leading facility of its kind in the United States. As a Senior Supervisor and faculty member, Jerry continues to train and supervise younger therapists in individual, group, and couples treatment. A member of the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society and the American Group Psychotherapy Association, he is a frequent presenter at national conferences. Jerry has achieved a distinguished academic and clinical career both in Manhattan and Long Island.
Harriet B. Pappenheim, LCSW, is a graduate of the Psychoanalytic Institute of the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health with certification in Child, Adult, and Group Psychoanalysis. A Board Certified Diplomate, Harriet is a psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with a private practice in Manhattan. She was a founder and Director of The Parents' Center in New York City and has had broad experience teaching and supervising student therapists. She is a past president of the Postgraduate Psychoanalytic Society, a former delegate to the International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies, a member of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and a Diplomate of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work. A member of the American Association of Marital and Family Therapists and has written and presented papers on individual and couple therapy at scientific conferences in the United States and abroad. Harriet is the author of the recent book For Richer or Poorer...Keeping Your Marriage Happy When She's Making More Money, which was featured on Good Morning America and the Today Show.
